fibromyalgia

hi does anyone suffer from fibromyalgia my doctor now says i have this, wondered how other people cope with this and wot meds if any they take thanks .

Left a comment on your page--but yes, Stephen takes a medicine called Lyrica for the same type pain..You could ask your doctor about it. It is expensive here in the USA and doesn't take away all the pain, but a good deal of it. Hope this helps you some.

Hey Mandy. I also take neurontin in addition to the lyrica. Both are for pain caused by nerve damage. They make the pain more manageable. I take as much neurontin in one month as most people take in three months. When I can get the lyrica I take 150mg twice a day.

I also had a herpes encephalitis. The nerve damage caused by the herpes left me with post-herpatic neuralgia. The pain isn't the same every day, but when it is bad, it is horrible. I am told that it is much like fibromyalgia.
