I really did it, I have wanted to for so long I donated 12 inches of my hair to "Locks of Love!
(it is for people under 18 that have cancer, who are unable to purchase a wig!)

I AM POSTING A FEW PICTURES OF MY NEW HAIR STYLE! (BELOW)

So very cool, Hope...do you have before and after pics. I think that is an awesome thing to do. I highlight mine too often to do that. The lastest highlight was yesterday--a pinkish red interspersed with a little purplish red. Love it. I'm very proud of you.

12 inches!?!??! That's nearly the width of my computer table! I don't suppose they also offer depitron services for those sick to death of their arm or leg hair, because man y'know.......I'm just being a dick - that's an incredible gesture on your part and I hope many nearby followed your example and donated their own hair - I knew someone when I was younger who went through leukimia (spelling?) which required treatment resulting in hair loss from therapy - he was only 12 at the time, but thankfully he recovered - in seeing him as young as I was then, I had no concept of being unwell and all I saw was a kid who got alot of time off having to go to school and when he came back he looked fine - it's only in recent times where I've grown a true appreciation of seeing someone who's gone for a long time and who comes back to wherever appearing well or like nothing at all happened and I see that walking into view of people who don't really appreciate what goes into recovery both physically and especially mentally and resurfacing once again as one of the lucky ones, must be to that individual one of the most satisfying feelings one could ever hope to experience.

Good on you, Hope - to me, you've assisted someone in the future return from something like that, and the obvious good sentiment and feelings associated with your gesture have been well received, I'm sure.

Well thank you all yes I took pictures on my cell gotta figurre out how I can post them.
My hair is now shoulder length.....

I love that it'll help others to feel better about themselves. I saw all the emotional and physical pain my mother went through having cancer.
She went through chemo and radiation. It was aweful for me to witness but all the support she recieved was awesome! I went with my mother to all of her appoints for many reasons I hoped that it would also bring us closer, but it didn't such is life!

(no need to acknowledge this comment if you don't want to : I'm just thinking out loud)

Hi Hope, the picture entitled, 'my new hair' is a photo which really suits you and I think it is a nice new look. I recall being 15 and trying to look like a rockstar with the long, studly, hair do and my hair is characteristically curly when it gains length, so I had to use *so* much product in it in order to obtain the look I wanted that it looked and felt like plastic afterwards and I just looked like a tosser so I cut it off.

Stick with it, if I may recommend, I think it's a good look for you.
