Top 10 things I love about NZ (contrary to a previous discussion)

From #10, down to #1, here are my favourite things about this country (The All Blacks rugby team excluded because that's an HUMUNGOUS, big buttocked cliche and I actually am one of the few people in this country who dislikes that game)...................

#10 - Kiwifruit : This is a fruit which is reportedly indigenous to this nation, though there are rumours that it is actually a Chinese gooseberry, but I've been to China, and I never saw one there, only lots of rice.......

Here's a popular one for #9 - the kiwi bird : a flightless bird with an oversized beak that got outrun by all the other potential animalistic icons which were in consideration when this country was deciding on it's national icon : they caught this one because it can't fly.....buhuhahahahhahahaaaaaaaaa...bird, my buttocks

While we're dicussing food and poultry, here's a locally made soda, 'L&P' (Lemon and Paeroa) - kind of like lemon flavoured ginger beer - actually really good.

This is one of the most famous tourist, non internationally recognized, tourist attractions in the country : situated in the hometown of it's namesake beveridge (Paeroa), the giant L&P bottle sits proudly in small town NZ - featured in a few ads, it has...keeeeeewwwwwwwwll

#6 is my home city of Christchurch - this is the centre of it, with a tram running through the middle, and a giant church nearby (hence the name) - small city, but a great place to live, I reckon.

#5 is also a local landmark : AMI stadium, where curs-ed rugby is played in winter, and the far superior sport of cricket is played in summertime - close to the city centre, but just outside it..

Back to food : here is marmite - our Aussie members would know it as Vegemite - it's a brown, table spread, which tastes bitter and smells kinda wierd, but I love it and have it on toast every darn day - great stuff.

#3 is my current favourite local rock band, Midnight Youth (can hear them on my music list on my page) - songs like 'All on our own' (which actually contains a contradiction, how can the plural 'our' imply being alone? Maybe that's what they want us to think?) and Tijuana, are just two of their best songs, I think.

#2 is my favourite tv sport, cricket - featured here is a picture of a New Zealand batsman after he's posted an Australian counterpart (sorry Aussies, but we gotta beat you guys somehow, even if it's just in an image) somewhere for alot of runs (points).
